The town of Benevento gets, again, international attention thanks to Universo Teatro: a challenging but charming effort that the town is making since a few years. The Festival has reached its third edition, as well as great success and interest by the general public, thanks to the commitment of the many University Theatre Companies, which were attracted by the opportunity to show their talent in the town of the theatres. This Festival is a great project, which will highlight the main characteristics of our town. Thanks to the enlightening guidance of the Artistic Director Ugo Gregoretti, and to the support provided by the Sannio University, Universo Teatro was able to achieve the full potential of Benevento which, once again, has come under the spotlight at a European and Mediterranean level.

This approach proved to be very helpful not only from a cultural and social point of view, but also for the development of local tourism.
I think that the best postcard of Benevento to be sent around the world is the image which will remain impressed in the minds of these talented artists.
The Festival has a very ambitious target: allowing the comparison of different cultures, the integration of different groups of students with the young students from Benevento, as well as the opportunity to share experiences at theatre level.
Universo Teatro needs the support of the whole town, as well as the energy coming from its young people, in order to repeat itself every year as a stable event for the benefit of all citizens.
